Tool-assisted speedrun (TAS)
- aims for fastest completion
- plays on HARD mode
Castle of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse for the SEGA Mega Drive played by FODA. It's a TAS meaning it was played on an emulator using tools, such as savestates to undo mistakes and slowdown to allow precise input, to overcome human limitations. The objective of a TAS is to show the game pushed to it's limits, without the constraints of human skills and reflexes.
Castle of Illusion was one of the earlier games for the Genesis. Mickey must collect seven jewels to reach the final boss and save Minnie. He attacks enemies either by flinging apples at them, or by smothering them with his cast-iron buttocks.
This is about 47 seconds faster than the previous version by the same author.
@ASPERGER0584 I didn't criticized you, I just explained what TAS means to booboobrinn. I really enjoy TAS and I say you did a good job. Don't think I was demoting you. No way...

@pedrleo As the description says, both in the page and here, and I speak to both of you "booboobrinn" and "Pedrleo", TAS are not shown to prove skills or who's better than who. TAS are shown to prove entertainment to people who like watching all these kind of games. For my part, I wouldn't be interested in competing, but to be amazed watching a video-game movie. I love eating pop-corn and watching new more stuff created by TAS.
Best,
