Once you really understand why the USA dictates Christianity through all media outlets, then you will really leave your religion. Its all a matter of knowledge. Parents, teachers, officials are all indoctrinated. Don't listen to them. They have not much to teach to you. Find out everything for yourself by reading tons of books, philosophers, science, psychology. Only then you can determine for yourself what is true and what is make belief. Go with the truth recommends Friedrich Nietzsche.

@MrWrongevolution ok you actually don't make any sense at all... but one thing is clear... you have no clue what buddhism is about... otherwise you wouldn't have categorized buddha as a god...

Terms such as Buddhist, Christian, Jewish or Hindu are simply labels and they are conventional. But what really matters is the practice (of meditation). The Dalai Lama said something like this - 'dont study Buddhism to become a better Buddhist, study it if you think it can make you a better person'

Buddhims just new to western people. Some of Western people like try some newthings, even weird as new age, hippy. If you understand meaning of buddhist chantings you will know you choose Buddha is your god. Do budhists tell you that? No, they just tell you about benefits from meditation, vegetarian .... After honeymoon time, people find out bald trues.

@mingursurshar yes absolutely, the best part is the freedom for people to logically question the religion. You can be on a quest to find the most suitable religion but you can still go to monastery and be a Buddhist. No one will ask you to stop the reasoning. However, as being humans, some extreme Buddhist people will look down on you for not believing the faith but all they will do is to try to convince you why you should believe in it.
