because RDU is a connector city. people from London fly to RDU and then TO other cities. also from us cities and from raleigh to more cities. Before Miami international was built, RDU was the big hub on the East Coast For American Airlines. Also in morrisville nc, Glaxo smith Cline(Medecines co) they have alot of their products shipped to and from England. if your still curious go to wikipedia and look up RDU

@EmadIV you can even hear the classic RR buzzsaw sound :D

No. These are in fact, Rolls-Royce Trent 895s in particular :)
-
@RBZatlas yeah can't wait to see there 773's when there being tested.
-
@yankeesfan135 well, they have a RDU-Heathrow destination only. never seen an aa 777 go ro other cities
-
Yeah, its still there, American 173 and 174.
Now served by a 767-300ER.
I'm probably going out in it, just need to convince myself to book it. I hate the fact that the 767 doesnt have personal IFE. The thought of one stop on a flight to Nairobi is too good to pass up while everyone else is doing 2 and 3 stops

That oversvation deck is nice great vid

Does this flight still exist then? If so is it still used by a 777?

FINALLY! Someone has put a video of the infamous 777 at RDU. I used to watch this bird come in all the time when I lived in Raleigh. Thanks for the post, it sure does bring back memories.
