Myself playing Citizen Erased on a 7-string guitar. It's not tuned the same as Matt because that would mean a restring. I wasn't concentrating for some parts as this was take 2 and i copped the hump when i realised take 1 stop recording half way through. Take 1 had a better solo.

  • @AsunaFan You lay down your finger at certain places on the string, not pressing, which creates a natural 'harmonic', the high sound

  • and the lesson??

  • good cover but the harmonics sound funny and stop playing fake F chords-.-

  • @kojinmalia Well, on the recording he used a thicker string than the average E string, but if the string is clean and new(ish) then it can work with just an average string. I'm performing it for my Music GCSE this wednesday, and I've not had much problem, the only real thing is that it can go out of tune easier than in E or D. Anyway, it's meant to sound slightly discordant on the riff thing for the effect it produces.

  • @Vlodrak Recorded with 6strings? If you drop A on 6string guitar, it's hard to hit the chord to make it sound like A cause it's so...

  • @kojinmalia No, it really is AADDGBE, like a normal six string in Drop-A tuning, but with another D string, and I'm pretty certain the d strings are at the same pitch so Matt just uses it for effect. It was recorded with a six string in Drop-A though, he only uses the 7 String live.

  • think a min, AADDGBE make no sense, it's ADADGBE!

  • Let´s hope songs like this one will be on Muse´s next album!

  • The music and guitar picking are louder than your actual guitar playing

  • wow thats nice that you play piano at the end too :)
