God of War 3 - Hades Palace Freeze

*PATCH 1.01 is out!*

This freeze is STILL present, playing on Titan now.

Game freezes when starting Hades Palace.

Using an 80gb Fat PS3 (Motorstorm Bundle) w. BC, North American copy of the game.

Variations of this freeze happen when opening the pair of chests on the second floor and fighting the enemies near these chests. Total is up to 19 freezes in these areas so far at last count.

Update - May 6th: Looks like I've been banned from the God of War forums for "Violating the rules and policies of the community, with actions such as having an inappropriate handle."

If it's my handle, then that's the same one I've been using on the PSN since I bought my PS3 and never had any complaints. Also the same one I've been using on the God of War forums since the game launched. The same game that I can barely play because of the freezing issues that I have been posting about.

They also removed all of my helpful tags like: bug error glitch needfix patchthisgame freeze hang critical-issue brokengame unabletoplay whensthepatch
Which helps to sweep this big problem under the rug, completely unacceptable! Way to treat your customers.

As of today my posts are still there, I just can't log in, so they can keep me quiet. Seriously Sony/SMS? Anyone know some other sites/links where we can escalate these complaints since clearly that site isn't working?


Update - Oct 6th 2010: Looks like the issue MAY be related to the hard drives in some PS3s. As some people have bought new hard drives, swapped them in and it solved the issue completely. I have not tried this yet, as GOW3 is the only game I'm having trouble with, but may consider it in future.

Bought the game and i cant even play it due to freezing THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the only way for me is to put another game and play it for like 5 minutes then put gow 3 and TADAa no freeze, but after a couple of minutes..freezes again T_T. And when ur playing gow, you can see that the HDD light is going WILD blinking without stopping.Personally i think the cause of all this problems is because this game doesn't install the game data on your ps3 LIKE OTHER USUAL GAME DOES!
