Peter Parker a Realtor for Keller Williams Realty servicing Sacramento, El Dorado, Placer and Yolo county describes the $8,000 tax credit available for first time home buyers and the time frames involved in making sure you can still receive it.
@aviatorairman2000 wow! thats a long time, did you get it yet? that was right around when they relized there was a bunch of fraud and started looking at everything closer. Plus you ammended and that always adds time.
yeah, good luck getting that $8,000..I bought my house in Aug. of 2009 and as of today, 2/3/2010 have yet to see a penny of it. This is after numerous phone calls to the IRS, several letters and faxings and I even have a supposed tax advocate helping me now....6 months and still no money, probably going to have to file bankruptcy soon if I don't get it in the next month..
