  • the real lone ranger not that1981 crappy joke of a movie

  • I loved this in the 1970's when I was a kid. It played every Sat. Afternoon...ya know when TV was fun and all.!

  • I remember this theme used for some of the TV episodes as the theme for The Lone Ranger Series and I'm thinking mid to late 1970's - Early 1980's and it was used as the theme. I also remember Clayton Moore making an appearance at my High School in 1982 to teach us a lesson on staying in school and staying on the right side of the law! This was the best assembly I ever attended and I remember shaking his hand. He was my childhood hero and will always be! Kudos to the one who uploaded this!

  • A lot of people making comments on this clip are mistaken. This clip has nothing to do with the series at all. It was the opening moments of the movie "The Lone Ranger and the Lost City of Gold'. It was produced to give a quick summary of the background of the Lone Ranger.

  • One of best intros for any series ever (in my opinion)

  • Actually the first shows filmed in 1949 told the story. Tonto: "Um, you kemo sabay, it mean trusty scout. You all alone now. Last man. You are lone ranger."

Ranger: "Yes Tonto, I am the Lone Ranger".

Silver, the horse was wounded by a buffalo and the Ranger shot the bison. Tonto: "Him like snow on mountain. Like Silver Snow".

The Lone Ranger realised this was an ideal name for his white horse.

All this is in the frist 7 episodes (on youtube) from 1949.

  • Oh yea, I remember this. This intro wasn't in the older B&W episodes but was added when the show turned color.

All of the episodes were aired as re-runs until around the early 80s. Those were the days.

  • Trigger was the name of Roy Rogers horse that he loved sooo much that he had Trigger stuffed. Weird. Champ(ion) was Gene Autry's very beautiful horse. Hopalong Cassidy's horse was Topper.

  • Whos Horse was Named Trigger then? I always thought his was Trigger all these yrs I been thinking He yelled Hiyo Silver Cause His Bullets I guess, Havent thought about it in yrs but if someone would have ask me his horses name for a Million bucks-Id lost! I would have said TRIGGER!

  • EXCELLENT!!! EASILY, my favorite TV intro of all time!!! I also watched it every Saturday right up through the early 80's!!! Unfortunately, this theme doesn't precede the color episodes that are available on DVD! Thank God we have it captured here!!! Arncos, WE SALUTE YOU!!!
