Oh - and dont forget to tell us what you are you passionate about. Even if its embarrassing.

  • David Mitchel in 3 words - constipated virgin wanker.

  • Advertising has ruined many of our words and concepts and made them meaningless. Especially the positive ones..

  • I'm passionate about David Mitchell.

Oh now you're just splitting hairs, you're acting as though English has actually DONE things to Greek when it's still its own language.

There's a difference between two countries where English is the native language but one has edited it, and where we've taken and edited words from a completely different language altogether that remains UNCHANGED within its own linguistic borders.

The two aren't even on the same orthographical system for Christ's sake.

  • @groinhat I had a dog who was passionate about my sofa, until we had him fixed.

  • @BloodskullMannoroth

Maybe it's the inclusion of the word 'English' in American english that has people annoyed when they don't agree with a word

  • "suspiciously spot on gender and ethnic diversity"

    perfect :D

  • @CheckersPerson If you say that cultural changes to language through time can be considered butchery, remember this: If the Americans butchered the queen's English, England raped, murdered, and then mocked the desiccated corpse of Greek. To take logos, and turn it into -logy, or efkaristo, and make it 'eucharist', or any of many other examples like this would seem to indicate that the British have no right to complain about language evolution.

    Sincerely,

A Greek who is also a British citizen.

  • The word "passion" no longer sounds right.

  • "good lord, they must be exhausted"
