It you have a compressed spine you might get a few cm on your height when you start yoga. . But other wise no.

For all of you who post these videos, thank you but it would be much more beneficial to a begginer if you posted a video of you teaching a begginer. Why? Because your yourself is already structurally programmed in tadasana. For example you tell me to put my out edges of my feet parallel but I have no idea how you do that.

I think that in your case if a video is too hard you need to have an actual teacher. Or find a different style of teaching . Video learning is for those that have the capacity to take it on. Its not for everyone.
