drill
1.false cut - durchwechseln - umbschlagen (zwer) - another zwer - dupplieren (ausere mynn)
2. the same as before
3. instead of duplieren in the end another zwerch followed by a stab - my opponent used a different versetzen and took a hit in the head
4. after the second zwerch I wanted to take the point to another side using durwechsel, he rushed his versetzen, so I stayed and made a wind into the ochs and stabbed

  • What are these made of ?

    Seem to very light!

  • @psuedocreatura hi, made of steel, weight approx 1,9-2kg

  • Nice, we do a very similar exercise. Do you guys set a limit on the number of strikes by the agent per segment? We try to increase the number by gradual increments (with mixed results).

  • @mindhost Hi, with such exercises belonging to semicontrolled (fixed beginning, different results) the number of strikes is limited either by the doer or by a proper hit (at least thats the way how we do it). But we rather tend not to be rigid and variate such pieces freely. Dont forget to check our other videos

  • Not to criticize, but isn't that a bit dangerous? Those helmets don't really take impact that much =P

  • @DiabolusIgnis definetely safer than without them:)

  • @johnmeadowcourt Well, that's true. Well, I guess they're your heads, not mine. Have fun bashing each other ;P

  • nice

  • @johnmeadowcourt I apologize. What I meant to ask was, if it was free sparring, why didn't the guy move perpendicular to the attacker's direction? But since it wasn't, it doesn't really matter. Nice video though. I want to start doing this, but I don't have anyone in the area that wants to as well. Y'all are fortunate.

  • @Ronnock it wasn`t sparring. I`m affraid I don`t understand your question; the attacker was moving to the sides, check out the feet. The defender was to parry freely, without counterattacks. The point was to react properly on different kinds of parry:) We`re going to put a free sparring video soon.
