This is from Sony! what you don't see is the five lighting guys, the director, producer, etc. JVC HD proline is way better.

So are you not allowed to use DP's and crew with this camera? It doesn't matter, it's the fact that it is capable of this and probably more. I feel like people don't push cameras capabilities enough and are quick to jump to new technology before reaching a pinnacle of creativity. I spend a lot of money (more than this) just having a consumer HC5 rigged to an M2 pre dslr craze. This is a good product.

What is the problem to have a crew? The point is that this is a really nice camera, cheap and really efficient.

My problem with the Sony series camera have more to do with the file formats and colors. AVCHD does not handle motion well at all. 1080P60 has significant ghosting issues. The colors also have severely yellow - pasty tints and textures. I guarantee that if you were to give these same talented film makers Canon equipment, this would have looked distinctly less consumerish. I'm a huge fan of Sony and that is what I learned on, but I haven't liked any of there recent cameras for those reasons.

disculpen todos los que ponen mal comentarios sobre esta camara pero estan equivocados esta es la maravilla que ha creado la sony no hay otra que se le compare tiene optica incluida que ni la xdcam la tiene ,pueda ser que no graba a 24p pero eso no importa eso se resuelve en edicion yo soy camarografo profesional y la recomiendo para grabar documentales

@Xhanoir Hmm, that is encouraging; 7 Mpx plenty for me. But, does it have full-manual still controls? The HDRCX550V frustrates me - can't separately set shutter, f-stop, do long-exposures, etc. (I need the same full control offered by the VG10 or the old DSC-H50 - all the various priorities such as Aperture, Manual, etc.) Thanks!
