I developed a focal dystonia when I was about 18/19 years old (see video). More than 20 years the dystonia is exactly the same.

No. Fabra is Prof Joaquin Fabra in Madrid. Farias is Joachim Farias in Seville. Easy to muddle the two!

Speaking as a former sax player who lost his chops to focal jaw dystonia (yes, diagnosed by a UCSF neurologist), I can relate to *some* of this, esp the way in which the FD comes about. But this business of "only doing what we feel" makes no sense to me. I don't think it's true. I'm looking forward to hearing about the sure - I have heard of no _cures_, only people who learned a different way to play.

this idea of "doing what we feel" is what we do at a subconscious level, not what we've physically (as it were) decided to do.. It is a little confusing, It's just the way Joaquin puts it... Next plan is to see why many sufferers seem to be so reluctant to even consider an emotional cure.....
