Helen Ukpabio, head of the Liberty Foundation Gospel Ministries in Nigeria, is a notorious witch hunter who targets children with accusations of witchcraft. She is coming to visit Texas in March (or May) this year.

Societies have, over the centuries, found numerous ways to encourage bad people to do good things or at least refrain from doing bad things.  Religion has the nearly unique ability to make good people do bad things.

It's unimaginable that religion or fear can be so strong that a parent would sacrifice their child. Usually there is that instinct and strong love that prevents parents from hurting their child and makes them protect their child. There would be nothing a church leader could tell me to make me hurt my child or give her into their hands. I would rather kill those threatening to hurt my baby. :-(
