Zydeco music was an important discovery for me. Thanks to Sean, Chris and the warmth of the Ardoin family down in Lake Charles Louisana, I started investigating the roots of Zydeco music, then Creole music. Amédé and "Bois Sec" Ardoin were pioneers of that music, and I have always been a fan of folkloric music, traditional instruments, and performers that come from families of musicians. They carry the voice, the music and the message. Chris Ardoin is one of these people that used his talent to mix Zydeco with Rythm and Blues, Reggae and Hip Hop. He is now the rising star of this new "genre" of music. If you go down Louisiana, track him down. The video link I am presenting is a recording we did in 2007 down at his father's house in Lake Charles. www.espritvoyageur.net

  • Damn Chris is fine as hell. It's good looking men like him that I would love to move down that way. They love family and treat their women like queens. all women should have a country man in their life. God Bless your family.

  • Wangh! Good music, but it's not ZYDECO (Les Haricot) . That's pure Cajun (Acadian) what they just played, both songs.

  • What it do? I'm a Ardoin. My 3rd grandmother was Marelete Ardoin. And good damn job.

  • Hi Sean good to see you on the 'Tube. I visited with Bois Sec at his home and played accordian with him, he was a fine man and it's a great memory. Another memory is when you and Chris played at the Barbican in London. You did a great music workshop. We love and respect the Creole music here. Come to England again, we miss you'all. Best wishes Phil Underwood

  • Does anyone know if the song they did together at the end of this video was ever recorded by them?
