@Gwenifar100 Yes, you are right. My people came from Germany in year 1848. After so much time, we no longer speak German language and have lost most traditions. Yet we are proud of our German heritage. LOL
The capitol of my home state is Bismark,North Dakota.
Most people don't know who Otto Von Bismark is.

@TrickShot1100 I´m a german historian. I know that the DANCE Polka has its origin in Bohemia. What I meant is that the NAME Polka is an hommage to Poland.
Whatever. I think many Americans with German ancestory only have a falsified view or misty memorys of Germany. Thats a pity. But it´s great and wonderful that they try to keep up their traditions.

@Gwenifar100 Polka music is a form of European dance music which originated in Bohemia (what is now an area within the Czech Republic). About year 1830
Very much enjoyed by many Americans of German ancestory.

LOL....Brats & kraut is one of my favorite meals.
