Alvaro discusses the opportunities working for IBM has presented him with. Also discussed are ways to improve involvement of Deaf people in the workplace.

Direct Quote:
"IBM looks past the labels of a person and they accept anyone based solely on their own abilities -- they give them the chance to prove they can do anything."

"IBM opened the doors to me and gave me the chance to prove to them that I can be successful and contribute to the business."

-- Alvaro Guzman, an IBM Canada inventory control analyst, a member of IBM's People Enablement Network Group and a major proponent of rights for the deaf/hard of hearing.

Proud of IBM, I certainly hope many other companies in the future can grow to be more educated about employing persons with disabilites.Having employers to learn to look beyond their disabilites.
