Following the release of a video clip of an interview he participated in in the 1980's, William Hay has often been cited as a scientist who has allegedly attested to the miraculous nature of the information within the Quran.
This video is an uncut interview with Prof Hay nearly 30 years later asking him to explain this experience in detail, and his thoughts on the matter.

That must have been super cool to fly to Germany and hang out with that old scientist for a while, I bet he could tell you all kinds of interesting things about his life and career beyond just his experience with muslims.

The vast majority of scientists that have become muslim did so after conducting their own investigation of the matter (at times taking a few years to do so). The video clarifies that William Hay had not drawn the conclusion that the scientifically sound verses described in the Quran were of a miraculous nature. I don’t expect this would deter its current or future adherents. That this religion is the subject of such debate, even among atheists, drew me to want to delve into it.

@mmawer The majority of scientists (94% plus in the royal societies, national academy etc) are not even religious let alone muslim. If science confirms god why do the people most able to judge reject all religions. The koran describes a flat earth, special creation of humans from mud, it tells of the sun resting in a muddy puddle, and 7 heavens containing the moon and sun etc . . . .not scientific so not from god, made up by men in the 6th century makes more sense.

@mmawer - Who's using conspiracies? Just the facts as they appear to be.... Keith Moore was paid by the Saudi's, William Hay was not....The facts don't spin, don't lie and are not being withheld...They are there to see with your own eyes, if you can be bothered.
