This video shows how a photodiode and an amplifier can be used to make your monitor play music. We use Tempest For Eliza to make the monitor flicker.

  • This is not based really on TEMPEST. TEMPEST generally refers to the RF AM signal your monitor generates as electronic noise. You are using a photo cell to pick up a light signal generated by the monitor (it's primary purpose). Nice trick, though.
