I got midway thought that battle, then Crysis crashed.  I loaded up the game and all my saves were gone, so I quit Crysis.

Bloody PCs eh...

Once I played Titan Quest for over 40 hours, got about 2/3 of the way through it, then my daughter managed to hit the right button combination on my PC to delete my character. I was climbing up the walls for at least 5 minutes

Not to mention the PC can emulate console games, true, not to the best potential that a real console can give you, but they are still playable. Also, consoles normally run on one main network, like PSN. If the shit hits the fan, no online play for you, and if they go out of business you are royally fucked. On the PC, the players host the servers. If a server craps out, oh well, find a new one.

@faostube What classifies as arcade? Any game like Mortal Kombat, Takken, Dead or Alive .. all you do in those games is fight, thats pretty much it, thats boring as hell. I like games where I can explore and interact with the world, make me think, a fighthing game is to predictable and tooooo staged .... sure the consoles have FPS shooters...bottom line is consoles are for kids ... I've never seen Flight Simulator for the PS3 or XBOX ... although it is possible, they don't have teh resources.

@yappers4 Wow you just brought up a very valid observation. Usually when I purchase a game, I tell myself, is this a game that I would play over and over again because its just that good? If the answer is yes, I buy the game ... however, for a console ... this means I would need that very same console to play that game! With a PC I can play the game years after it was released...for a console that may be a big *NO* I don't like consoles for their majority of *arcade games* i hate arcade games.

Console solution for laggy game - Wait for the PS4 and pray to god they remake the game on that console.

PC solution time - 2 hours max if you know what you are doing

Console solution time - Months to Years to Not gonna happen.

And what sucks is why they make console exlusive games like RDR. I wanna play RDR on my PC, where I will not get controller grip. (Your hands becoming numb from squeezing controller)

@faostube And don't get me started with the PS3 players who say they can own you in call of duty. Someone playing a shooting game on a PS3 vs. a computer player using a mouse......stands absolutely no chance at someone with a mouse, they have DEADLY accurate aim...by the time your done moving your little joystick, the PC player is already enjoying watching his bullet go through your head.

@yappers4 Actually, a console is nothing more than a PC itself. The PS3 and XBOX 360 have VERY LOW end graphics hardware for todays technology. Have you noticed how crazy laggy some games are in consoles.....the consoles are nothing more than dedicated gaming platforms...serious gamers build their own platforms and squeeze every ounce of performance out of it. The console is nothing more than point and shoot. People like the easy stuff, thats why they are popular.
