brother yusuf please approach the imam of the east london mosque and he will be able to guide you on your journey in islam,you can talk to him and he should be able to provide you with contacts of other revert brothers.Its a shame you live up in the north because in the east london there are many support groups designed to help you seek the knowledge you crave.may allah guide you in your journey .

Salam aleikom Brother Yusuf,you pinpoint a problem that`s causing great confusion amongst both muslims and non-muslims. That`s why I find so many reverts to represent more true Islamic values than many who are born into Islam. We should all seek knowledge and know our deen properly.

Salam brother Yusuf...thanks for sharing your story. As a Bangladeshi Muslim I know we bring a bit of culture in our practice of Islam and that in a predominantly Bangladeshi mosque, it can be difficult to receive help if the Imam is performing Khutbah in Bengali. Perhaps one day you'll be able to help the revert community as you know how it is...in terms of interest..My understanding is it is Haram to profit from interest. Can that be applicable for paying mortgage fees?!?
