I am not in any of the high-risk groups but am still battling the tendinitis I got after taking Cipro for a bladder infection. Should have stopped after the burning foot pains after the first dose, but the doctor said she couldn't be sure it was the Cipro unless I took a second dose and the pain came back. I did, and it did. She changed my Rx to Bactrim but the damage was done. It's a lot better when it does but I still get the soreness now and again and worry about possible rupture.
After three years of near complete paraplegia, confined to a wheel chair due to a neurological condition, I began having recovery. I've been working so very hard in physical therapy, and it paid off... I'm out of the chair and on my feet (with a walker) again. Until I got mastitis and took Levaquin. Now I have severe tendonitis in both achilles and in multiple smaller tendons in both feet. The pain is excrutiating and has halted my progress in re-learning to walk. I wish I had known, I wou
definitely depression!!! omg, i was sooo depressed on levaquin. my doctor said just try to deal with it and if i can't work, let her know, so i had to take off work for 2 weeks because of the side effects. additionally, my knees felt like they were on fire and i was so weak for several days after discontinuance. it's unfortunate that so many necessary meds have such harsh side effects. :(
I took Levaquin a few times in the last 4 years and had long lasting reactions also. The last time I took it after I had a respiratory infection the side effects never went away. I still suffer from increased pulse rate, insomnia, and other effects that cause me to be depleted. I have found that L-Theanine has helped me to get by day to day to deal with the stuff that continues to go on. L-Theanine is a amino acid that helps with the stress and has other effects hat are not yet proven.
I was given Levaquin for a sinus infection and two days into taking it I noticed that my insomnia was much worse. I stopped taking it two days ago but I still can't sleep very well do the effects go away?
I was given Levaquin 750 mg back in february... NINE months ago... I am afraid I will never be the same again... I went from walking 4 miles a day for exercise to barely being able to ride a bike for 5 minutes, the pain is awful... i also have nightmares, depression, heart palpitations, anxiety... the calves of my legs are shaped like a barrel when relaxed instead of being soft and normal shaped like they used to be. LEVAQUIN IS POISON. somebody needs to be held accountable! BIG PHARMA is EVIL
The sooner they take this POISON off the market, the happier I'll be.
