This is a live performance of "Apologies" by Grace Potter and The Nocturnals which recently aired on the excellent all HD cable channel RAVE-HD. The song is from the Nocturnals new album "This Is Somewhere" on Hollywood Records. As good as the record is (it was mixed by Michael Brauer so you know it's good) Grace's voice really shines during live shows. I'll even go as far as to say that she is the best live female rock vocalist active in America today. Smart too, and a very good songwriter with a super tight band.

I work in television and consequentially watch very little TV at home except RAVE-HD. For RAVE to take a chance on a new band like the Nocturnals and give them not half an hour, not an hour, but a full 90 minutes really impresses me. Add to this "Later With Jools Holland" and other great music programs and you'll realize why I tune to this channel every time I turn on my HDTV. It's more like going to a concert where you have great VIP seats than merely watching television.

  • I agree! Amos is so Amazing! I have loved him for years. Just foung Grace but I am quickly becoming a big fan. You can feel them both!

  • @debodeyo Amos Lee was fantastic tonight on Jimmy Fallon with the Roots as his backup band. The man has one of the finest voices in music today. Imagine seeing Amos and his band + Grace and the Nocturnals on the same bill at some 1500 seat music hall. Two of the best voices in modern music. I just put that show on my Bucket List!

  • Dope ass song. On this particular song her style kind of reminds me of a female Amos Lee. Check him out for those of you who haven't.

  • @Coojo78 Insightful comment and yes, she does have a Amos Lee vibe. Imagine if they ever did a duet. Put me down for a copy! (PS - Amos' new CD is amazing and well worth the money.)
