SWTOR Star Wars UI Tour

Sorry about the monotone, low-energy narration. I'm tired from playing the beta all weekend (11/25/2011 beta weekend footage).

I disagree. They need to offer UI Scaling like so many other MMO's (cough) like Blizzard (cough). That way they can appeal to the masses. I, for one, hate how big the UI is for me at 1920x1080. I want it way smaller.

@Dogstar6105 - Agreed. On one hand, you could argue that WoW's UI was not great when it launched and it got better. But that was years ago. Rift's UI was amazing at launch. All the customization and features I wanted, and some new ones that I didn't know I'd want. Oh well, BioWare has caught some flack for this UI, so I'm sure improvements are in the works!

what the hell is with people saying this UI is too big? id almost say it was too small... i can see plenty of EVERYTHING...

@Mak49ers - I agree that this size worked fine for me. But one thing I didn't mention is that I have my game set at max resolution, which I believe is 2560x1600. If your rig can't handle that resolution, it might be annoyingly large at something like 1920x1080.

My main problem with the UI is that it's not very adjustable (as of the 11/25/11 beta). Playing several MMOs over the years, I've gotten in the habit of rearranging everything when I start a game so that all games feel similar.

I agree right back at ya. Hey so I was spending my lunch browsing for SWTOR vids (I know we all can't wait for next week - I'm assuming you preordered as well) and I came across some of your vids. My biggest complaint with SWTOR is that I'm going to absolutely lose all remaining free time available, as every single class was enjoyable to play to 10 in the beta. Thanks for the good videos and commentary, though. I'm thirsting for any Advanced-Class videos that I can get my hands on.
