What drumsticks are those?
Do you recommend using those drumsticks?

@CRAZYjay88 Hey- I have no clue what kind of sticks those are. Dont worry about that stuff. I spent years and years, and often still do, playing with mix-matched sticks. Sticks dont matter. It is in your hands. The stick wont make the groove sound good. If I had a choice, I would buy the Jack Dejohnette sticks, but I am broke, so generally I just buy the generic ones that are 10 pairs for 10 bucks.

@coltrain210 Sticks are very important, it's the link between us and our instrument, you should have sticks that suit you and the musical style. The size of it, the type of wood, the taper, and the material of the tip all have a subtle but influential effect on how you sound. I've tried so many different sticks to try and find the "perfect" stick for me and I can say I have found it in the Vater Mike Johnston 2-4-5-1 Maple, drummers should try and find theirs, its a great feeling when you do.

@Danielcrspo I believe what you are saying is correct........but, it isn't information you need as a beginner. It is like telling a young artist about choosing a particular brush or canvas, when they should instead be working on the basics, like drawing. I say, just do. Do it for a long time and then you will understand why, but until you have done it for a while, mixmatched, chopped up sticks will do just fine.
