nothing will ever compare to tamla motown

the Motown mono 45 mixes were EQ'ed to be hotter than anything on the radio at that time....they kept the mono mix on 45's longer than most labels going up to 1970 before completely switching to stereo of all their 45's....check the version of "Who's Lovin' You by the Jackson 5 tucked away on the B-side of "I Want You Back" it kills the readily available stereo lp version....

I agree with you 100%. I don't know either. Some of the cd's are in Mono...like the Marvelettes "Deliver The Singles". Mary Wells, Looking back...and a couple of other box sets....

I like the MONO sound better than Stereo. I'm glad I found a copy.

Starting with the hypnotic "A Thrill A Moment", Kim Weston should have crossed over to the Top 40 but here in LA radio would not play her even with fans calling stations and requesting...only LA hit was the classic duet "It Takes Two" then again silence...now all these years later at Macy's "Take Me In Your Arm's" is on the music program and sounds great...Kim should have been a huge Superstar with that great voice!!!

She should have been. Sorry Diana Ross fans, but Kim sings circles around her! I love "Take Me In Your Arms" as well.
