Part 2: PowerPoint Ideas for Teachers

Methods to break up the linearity of PowerPoint, how to create indexes to cue the viewer to the major topics, using an inexpensive smartboard equivalent (Smoothboard), how Personal Response Systems (Clickers) can improve PowerPoint, how to use PowerPoint to organize current events or various web resources, basic animation, quizzing, adding an audio track to your lecture, and using PowerPoint to create lectures viewable on an Ipod are all briefly discussed. A basic introduction to how to create clickable objects, using hyperlinks, action settings, animation and triggers is also included.
