Ok, on this one, it fills then switches to agitation, I switch it back and fourth from regular speed to gentle so you get and idea on the sounds it makes usually.
I wonder why they don't make these type of agitators anymore? They look like the give the best rollover without beating the clothes to death like the dual action agitator!
I had a neighbor that that had one of these machines in the early to mid 70's, and I thought it was the neatest thing I had ever seen. We had a harvest gold whirlpool at the time no suds return ;-(
My Aunt had a Frigidaire I-18 when I was a kid. They weren't the quietest machines around. When I heard the machine running, I'd wait till no one was looking and sneak down to the basement just to watch it run. unfortunately, Frigidaire wasn't the only machine that white destroyed. Westinghouse, Kelvinator, Gibson also met their demise to white. what's interesting, is the frigidaire was a westinghouse washer with a different agitator and a frigidaire control panel after white took them over.
My Mom had one of these in the mid 1960's and then got a replacement jet action machine in the late 70's. These were Frigidaire Washer's when General Motors owned them. Later, they became owned by "White" and they became junk. White couldn't use the jet-action design.
wish i had one the BEST
