You know what bring up Tom Delay, Rush Limbaugh, Sean hannity, and run them in the Northeast see how these true conservatives do. You do not understand you can not run on SOCIAL ISSUES in moderate areas. Mccain nomianted as conservative as you can get Sarah plain and look what it did for him. he lost educated voters, he lost moderate voters, and young college grads because Palin demonstrated such anti-intellcutal positions and was extreme on every social issue that it turned off moderate voters.

conservative presidents did that when the demographics of the country favored them. Ronald Reagan and Richard Nixon won 49 states when the country was 90 % white. Now the country is 74 % white and shrinking, George Bush in 2004 got only 31 states. Do you underastand Ronald Reagan left the white house 20 years ago. By standing on core conservative values: personal freedom and smaller government is just generalzations be specific or you will be a white southern party.

Conservative presidents have brought their message to moderates before and won handily. They did not do this by giving up core principles. They did this by presenting conservative ideas in a coherent way. What is the point of a GOP if they offer no alternatives to dems? McCain was a moderate.
