  • I feel for her, no one knows whats it like to date an alcoholic and how hard that is unless youve been there and then to lose him to the alcohol ive been there I too lost the love of my life to alcohol and its a feeling that last forever, so if you wanna judge her for that think about what that would be like first, imagine walking in those shoes.

  • A lovely, beautiful song. Lorrie & keith were a great couple. RIP Keith.

  • I remember the day Kieth Whitley died. The world lost an incredible singer/songwriter. It wasn't Lori's fault that he died though. Kieth knew She was using him for a stepping stone. He should have dumped her when he realized it instead of trying to drink away the pain.

Her reaction to his death sure seemed in bad taste in my opinion. And when She capitalized on his death by writing this song, well....people need money to survive and I guess the best thing I can say is Lori is a survivor.

  • @latrishaerwin I never said there wasnt plenty of people I said that only the people who do deal with that understand it. Which would include you and everyone else in that situation.

  • I loved Keith and his music! And like some of you here, I blame Lorrie for his death! But she is a good singer in her own right! After Keith died, she married some unknown guy, then she was involved with Troy Aikman of Dallas Cowboys fame! then she went on to Sammy! lol she can't keep a good man when she finds one! something wrong with that scenerio!

  • @TheCopperhound84 I love Keith Whitley music. Sad to see him die. But just so we can have clarity on the issues Keith only played a role in writing one of those songs, "Tell Lorrie i Love Her". All the rest of that music was written by other people. Also you put your comment up two months ago and she and Sammy have been split since 2007 it is now 2011. The fact that a news station reported cheating is not proof although very likely true, but if true Keith had other choices. LEAVE HER

  • @gabbylove1982 , sorry to dissapoint you but, there are plenty of people who know what it is like dating or being married to an alcholic. I am one of those people.

  • @APRIL62318 um BS it was said on TNN a while back that she cheated on him with her manager i understand he had a drinkin problem but its still Lorries fault listen to all his songs its about her she didnt deserve him thats the fact!!!!

  • @TheCopperhound84 and you know this how his own family said he had a problem before her! Keith had a disease and it toook him away from those who love him! Lorrie has not been the same since

  • Keith Whitley was definately one of the best singers of all time, love everything he ever recorded, country & bluegrass. I have always really liked Lorrie's music as well, great voice and she can sing with anybody and do a super job. As for her private life why doesn't everybody just mind their own business and not comment on what they no nothing about. The tabloids have nothing on you but they are paid to be vicious. Really what's it to you all?

  • @gabbylove1982 .....I agree. We've all seen Lorrie take a little too much heat over the manner in which she responded and carried on with such strength. But you are right in that no one but God, Keith and Lorrie knows what she really had to deal with away from public eye. Lorrie is obviously a strong woman. She exudes the kind of strength that so reminds me of my Mother.....tender-hearted, loving, caring, etc., BUT......stone-cold sober-STRONG inside.
