Fears - [ The Story of Susa Bubble - An Installation by Rose Borchovski ]

I am proud to present a new machinima about the story of Susa Bubble, an Installation by Rose Borchovski in Second Life®.

Saskia Boddeke (aka Rose Borchovski in Second Life®) is a multi- media artist and is totally taken by the wonders of Second Life®.
Her SL creation is the story of Susa Bubble.
A sweet but savage telling.
About how single Susa doubles up.
How she cannot handle to be out of balance,
and despite her best willing to be good,
Susa does wrong and tumbles down, and with her all the other Susas.
The story is told at several locations in SL with different layers:
Text and Image, Sound and Installation... and Machinimas.

I really like this one, Iono. Has Rose ever explained what nightmare plagues poor little Susa Bubble, or what she is a symbol/archetype for? The central id within us that puts us in touch with childhoor fears of number, time, machininery, psychic threat? I'm glad you recorded "The Kiss." I don't feel like a Susa anymore. My name is Judith now. I'm a person of my own. Traitor...... kiss.... just what is this connection between the Last Supper and all the Susa Bubbles?

Loved it the first time you showed me - since then more. Your interpretation of the imagery and story behind those visuals were artistically conceived and executed. The complexity of your ideas draws the viewer into your work (or better said, the story), yet the ideas remain accessible. Fantastic editing, transitions, etc., and your love for art comes through the screen. Of course, the colors! Oui! LOL. Sorry, I was in reviewer's mode.

@textcavation The Story of Susa is about our darker inside.

Susa is generally a good character, she tries to be good,

but sometimes does very bad, because all kind of reasons.

Mostly to survive or to be loved or not to be alone.

Susa’s story is about seeking for a balance between good and bad,

finding an identity. For Susa it is difficult to be true (despite of her best effort)

and to learn from the mistakes she makes. It is about our inner fears, the fears we find difficult to face. Rose)

@Ionoallen ... well that's what I mean. Her sim is just as mysterious as your machinima. I ask because when I mentioned how unfortunate that the Kiss was banned from the SL7B to a friend, she went ballistic (she hated the sim, it was dark and abusive-- clearly a very personal response). I love the Susa Bubble "Angst"-- it strikes a dark chord in me, but as a lit crit person I also seek analyses. If Lemony Snicket is permissible, why isn't this?? Thanks for capturing it so well.
