Spagonia
Day
Spagonian Capital

Here's a little interesting thing I want to show with all of you. In the hubs, Sonic walks pretty slow. (Ironically, the Werehog is faster than his regular self.) The idea is precision--Sonic needs to get in precise places to talk with precise people or to be in precise places. Do you see Sonic walking there? That's the fastest he can walk.

However, some hubs are so large that he may need to quickly get from place to place. The solution? Place rails, where Sonic doesn't have the speed limitation placed on him. A few other hubs have rails too, but only Spagonia's hub uses them for transport like this.

What I found was pretty interesting was that if you get on the rail during the middle of a Homing Attack into nothing, Sonic will keep going at the speed of the Homing Attack until he leaves the rail. You have to approach at just the right angle so you won't miss, but both ends of this rail are at just the right height for Sonic to do such a thing. (There's another rail in Spagonia that lets you do this, but it's a lot shorter and a lot less exciting.)

It's probably unintentional, since Sonic bounces up on the first trip and witnesses a clipping error: The young person reading the newspaper at the top of the stairs disappears and reappears.

  • how did you get 5 flashes

  • @legokidish Of what?

  • Well, I think the homing attack is kind of there so Sonic's still faster than the Werehog. =P

Try doing a homing attack, and while doing so, hold the B button and a direction. He'll stomp down and drift without speed limit. If you can control it till ya bump into something, that is.

  • So by stomping and holding down B while doing a Homing Attack, he'll slide around?

  • Oh! It's not ha ha funny. -_-

  • Nah. I shoudl change the title. It might be misleading to others.

  • lol

  • he look more lighter blue in this one the generations is it cuz hes younger

  • @ArawnChernobog do you have Sonic Generations?

  • @Overhazard I remember Sonic Adventure 2 having more "realistic" grinding physics (correct me if I'm wrong, I've never played this game) and jump dashing (non-targeted homing attack) onto a rail going upwards made Sonic go faster. Also, bounce-attacking onto a rail going downwards made him go faster.

  • A shorcut, so you dont get late to the doctor... Nah...

  • @Overhazard i dont think it went as far as in heroes, s2ab, and somewhat wii version

  • i know a glitch in this hub! when you are in day and you pause While on a rail, sonic will stop on the Rail!

  • in this game i stop in chun nangXD
