This is the last video I did while working at GACS, and it was shown on my final day of employment there in May 2003. Because it WAS my last video, I broke my personal rule of not starring in my own projects -- which is too bad. The video has some funny spots, but I wish I had been running the camera the whole time instead!
Most memorable moments:
**The idea of Kristy Winkes thinking of wonderful things she'll do with her time off vs. the bizarre things I'd do. It was a funnier on paper than on video, unfortunately.
**We did nail one shot in that montage, though -- the one where we're watching wrestling and drinking Mountain Dew. The person on the far left side of the couch is the funniest thing in the whole video! She was fantastic and hilarious.
**Most bizarre moment was Kristy Winkes dancing on the grave of someone whose last name was "Ball." Some were mystified by this shot. The explanation is relatively simple. We thought it would be funny/weird for her to dance on the grave of some co-worker, so we drove around the cemetery in Norcross (the one on Cemetery Street), and "Ball" was the first co-worker name we found. No actual offense intended to Tim Ball.
**I love the bad fake scene of me flying off the building.
**Two words: Donna Strickland.
By the way, that's Ry Cooder singing "School is Out."
Originally, I was going to kill myself off in the video. But we'd suffered a tragedy earlier that week that affected many of us on campus, and that idea just didn't seem as funny after that. So I show up at the end after all.
