This spur track along the main ROW was in use up until mid to late 1993 when the company switched over to truck service and the use of rail shipments on here was abandoned. The warehouse in the 80's was originally Coremart Dist., and would receive 4/5 boxcars at one time, then in the early 90's, E.H.Pope moved in and a bakery inside would receive the odd boxcar of flour from time to time. In 2000, an excursion train called the Pacific Wilderness Railway leased this spur to store its equipment on. This was the last this spur would see any use of, it now sits as a reminder of what once was.

Traffic modes & patterns change over time for industries. You can drive along Interstate 94 in central Minnesota and see the roadbed of the Great Northern line that used to parallel it all the way from Moorhead to Minneapolis. And you can think of all the grain elevators, roller mills, bulk oil dealers, Kraft plants, lumber yards, and other industries it used to serve.
