Make It With Rizla - 1970's Cinema Ad

This ridiculously groovy ad was shown in UK cinemas in the 1970's to promote Rizla cigarette papers. It's voiced by the late Kenny Everett a popular DJ and TV funnyman. THAT groove comes courtesy of the Music De Wolfe library. It's called The Hawk and was composed by Alan Parker and Williams Parrish.

Reminds me that Barbie is having her 50th birthday today. And that one guy in this ad seems to sport Ken´s "Now"-look from about 1972.

About to recover from Barbie´s big one yesterday - at the time being I´m sporting the "gone" look . And right, there´s a pool of nowsters in that ad; never actually seen a Ken with headphones, so I can´t tell the fashion state of the DJ.

Interestingly put, your phrase, gives me a flashback.

I remember hearing someone say that pensively about the McGann brothers: "They´re too handsome for their own good." While watching Withnail&I in a house in Islington.
