For people coming here to learn about charpy testing, one thing not mentioned in this video is that for most industry standards, you only have 5 seconds that can elapse between removing the specimen from the refrigerated bath and releasing the hammer. In this video, it took 20 seconds, therefore voiding the test. I am sure they only did that because it's an educational video, but the 5 second rule is an important one to know.
