This is the Kuk Sool Kwan version of Baek Pahl Ki Hyung, performed by Grandmaster Huh Mon Gil. This is old video footage from the 1980s. This is the original way to perform Baek Pahl Ki Hyung which all Kuk Sool once practiced. Kuk Sool Kwan Headquarters is located in Irvine, CA. http://www.kuksoolkwan.com

  • I agree, the form looks a lot like TKD/Karate. very short and explosive, with less fluid circular motions in it. Bloody nice kicks though :)

  • @Bradksw It has too many round, circular movements, guys. Also, how often does TKD do inside kicks? They've got 'em, but they aren't in the forms. Karate and TKD are also very rooted and solid, and this form goes all over the place. I would accept a kung fu comparison, but definitely not TKD or Karate. They just don't have the hands like that.

  • Im a former student of Grandmaster Huh & lost contact after going into the military. Does anyone know where he is now? If not, how about other former students, "Mean Mike," "Doug," Jim H., (late 80's to early 90's)? Please help, sincerely "James Friend" AKA Elliott - thanks

  • Elliott, I sent you a message here. Did you get it? -Mean Mike

  • Not sure that is 108 moves! Baek Pahl Ki Hyung means One Hundred and Eight Move Form. I know the Kuk Sul Won form called Baek Pahl Ki Hyung this form from KSK is like it but changed and very short in comparison of moves. I dont want to insult anyone but I believe this KSK form is not genuine. Just do some research and you can make your own decision. Cheers

  • If you watch them both side by side, you can see they follow the same progression and end at pretty much the same place. Neither one actually has 108 moves.

  • @Forteverum Can we see more clips of this awesome master? He is really a good and dedicated martial artist.

  • @samo980 108 Ki Form is the direct translation. It signifies the suffering every man, woman, and child has to endure. It is a Buddhist form, and if practiced accurately, does have 108 movements. However, it doesn't matter how one does the form. It is more important that one can APPLY the form.

  • please listen to the uploader, this is genuine kuk sool it is of the same origins, the same martial art at the core there are zero similarities to tae kwon do and trust me being an instructor in the won i can tell you that you insult kuk sool as a whole when you insult kuk sool kwan.

don't be a fanboy or a troll, be a martial artist show some dignity and respect.

  • It doesn't look like TKD.
