Report at http://www.NJCommonSense.com. Barry Funt (www.funtforassembly.org) presents the motivation and principles of NJ State Assembly citizen candidates running for the NJ Assembly endorsing the Common Sense Pledge. Barry Funt is running for District 28. Barry has been a long time resident of New Jersey, having moved to Howell Township with his parents in 1972. Married 12 years ago in West Orange to his wife Renae, the Funts reside in Livingston with their kids, Jack, Jennifer and Shelbi.

Barry graduated from Brandeis University in 1987 and received his JD from New York University School of Law in 1990. After several years as a corporate law associate, Barry joined Nomura Securities International, where he soon rose to General Counsel for the Real Estate Division. Barry went on to found a successful commercial real estate financing group now known as Natixis Real Estate Capital.

An entrepreneur at heart, Barry is a founding partner of an investment advisory firm, Allegiance Investment Advisors, LLC, a specialty real estate finance firm that invests in real estate and intermediates various financial transactions. Beyond traditional finance, Barry co-produced an off-Broadway musical called Once Around the Sun and co-produced a fitness video program, Weigh2Win, which is designed for patients of bariatric surgery.
