@Baseshocks We weathered the recession because we didn't deregulate our banking system. We had proper financial checks & balances INSTITUTED BY PREVIOUS LIBERAL GOVERNMENTS in place. And if you look it up you will find that Harper ADVOCATED FOR THE SAME KIND OF BANK DEREGULATION THAT SUNK THE US ECONOMY & instigated global recession. We got through IN SPITE OF HARPER who is a right wing extremist, who I repeat, could not run a variety store. Moreover 62% of Canadians did not vote for the creep.

@Baseshocks The new jets don't have double engines. They don't have the range to protect Canadian airspace. They can't traverse the long distances across the high arctic. And no other country will buy them. And they are not going to be made here in Canada. Buying expensive military junk that we don't need, that will NOT create Canadian jobs, IS a big deal. Read up on it. Harper intends to plunge us into intergenerational debt, then shrug and say "frankly" we can now no longer afford health care.

@gundamWWW women? have you been smoking..... the video is about senors...... and apparently people getting less then $2000 a year are getting $600, its focused on homeless people. she says you spend more then $2000 on liqueur a week? she must be a drunk to come up with those numbers, listen to the way she says it too. This video is pointless to attack a policy to give homeless senors some money.

@mightymissk variety store? he did not do a bad job during the recession Canada is among the top nations recovering from it? people voted for him because he is the best for the job, who would do better Iggy? lol. as for Layton during the last election i respected him but did not agree on his policy's.

@mightymissk not fly in the arctic? who says? do you know the range of the f-35 with and without added internal fuel tanks. (fuel tanks can be added in the bomb bays. before you say single engine check out the f16 crash stats from engine failure now compare that with a engine built decades later. They will not directly invest in jobs but they will grow and not need to lay off. foreign investors bringing money into Canada is a big deal read up on it.

@Baseshocks Yes debt, for fighter jets that can't fly across the high Arctic, for example--but Harper's buying them anyway. This is, after all, the idiot who spent A BILLION DOLLARS in one weekend at the G20. And your THEORY that cutting spending and corporate taxes will somehow magically incite corporations to invest in jobs is not borne out by reality. In fact the opposite is true. Corporations are sitting on the largesse and deinvesting. Like all neo-cons Harper couldn't run a variety store.

@mightymissk debt? hes cutting spending and corporate taxes so foreign investors will bring money into this country, more money for the corporates then they have room to expand and hire more employees, that equals more jobs. higher taxes means less money which means corporate cuts so people will lose their jobs. Harper is doing a far better job then iggy would have done.
