Pumpkin Trebuchet Launch 2008, Medina High School

The annual trebuchet competition held on October 24, 2008 by Mr. Smith's AP Physics class. Ten machines in all, points were awarded for distance and accuracy. Distances maxed out around 200 yards (the record stands at 214), and a cornhole type target was struck four times.
The featured team here is the Pink Panthers of Doom:
Jack Campo, Andrea McHenry, Jeremy Wright, Olivia Wetta, and Matt Stygles

Limitations: 10x10x20 feet, 500lb counterweight, (although we probably bent this rule a little... haha!), 6lb pumpkins.

The music you hear includes O, Fortuna by Carl Orff, Requiem for a Tower by Clint Mansell, Yeah! by Usher, and Monster Mash by Bobby Pickett.

The rules we have to go by for our class is 3x3 box on the ground, no weight limitations. We managed to throw a beanbag 165 yards with 210 lbs.
