okies this is 1 year since I took up my tin whistle and began teaching myself how to play. when I started I had no training with music and didn't really know what I was doing. about 4 months ago I posted what I had so far, and on my friends suggestion I decided to repost some of hte same songs in this video to compare them to my older less refined versions. please enjoy, oh and I start lessons next month I'm so excited =D
I got a tin whistle today. Within minutes of watching these videos I was playing along with confidence. I wanted to thank you so much. But then I read the comments, and realised you won't know how much I appreciate these videos. My heart goes out to your family, especially your mom, and for what it's worth THANK YOU for all nine of these wonderful videos. - Steve

I love Irish Music, especially when its played very well, and all the notes synch in harmony like a dream,. well I have to say my friend that I liked your perfomance on the whistle a LOT. You should set up your own trad band - seriously!

You've learned a lot! Did you start your lessons like you planned? I hope to learn tin-whistle too and I'm going to be self taught at first too. Have you seen the guy from Fordham University's 9 week series here in YouTube? It's a beginner series, but you might pick up something or learn some new songs and I think he's going to make an intermediate series next. ttyl, Rhonda.
