An Intentional Journey

Kristoff Maier sets off on a road trip from San Diego, CA to Vancouver, British Columbia, with the hope to learn about living an intentional Christian life. He plans on visiting these different missional community groups on his travels home, and to ask questions about what it means to live an authentic Christian life.

why why why are hippies like him almost always religious?!!?! i don't understand why there are not so many people like this who want to live in intentional eco-communities, but who consider the concept of theism absolutely ridiculous & immoral. if its not god or jesus, its the "one consciousness/energy" or "mother nature" or "universe will provide". why aren't there hippies like me who simply follow empiricism & the enlightenment, with finding transcendentalism only in music, poetry, art etc.

Bless you Kris. I pray you can find it and The Lord allows me to create one. Most church goers just don't study the Bible (they skim through it) nor allow The Holy Spirit to speak to them. They just sit blindly and wait to be fed a contaminated, paganized, fleshly, and merchandised version of The Gospel and then imitate it. Keep searching. God will open up the truth to you if you keep seeking and don't let the indoctrinated folk stop you.
