My grandparents have an original player piano (with bellows and all that, not your terrific solenoids). This video makes me want to make a roll for their piano.

@shadow524951 These player pianos were entertainment back in the 1880's through the early 1900's. There was a whole industry around these things. I will agree--very creepy. :)

Did you manually punch out the piano roll or did you have a machine to make it?

@crazychris960 this was a midi file that is played through a laptop computer to the solenoids under the keybed. It wasn't the right file to actually play on the piano that is why it misses a few of the notes
