Here's how I make Tube Cane Marbles. I learned this technique from Lee Zeigler around '03 have have been using it for cane building of all types and styles ever since. In this demo I make a solid cane which I typically get 3-5 marbles from. Simple and easy, but can definitely be elaborated on by creating different styles of cores.

  • Awesome. So simple. Why didn't I think of that.

  • badass!!! thats awesome, thanks for sharing, lots of info i picked up here. nice graphite v marver setup with the brass v cutting tool, and i dig the simple ventaltion and side ways mirror. i like how you finished the marble using the little hand torch to polish the punty mark and the high temp gloves for tossing in the kiln. i have a marble mold on a handle that i lay the marble on and bring up to the torch to remove the punty mark and toss in kiln. what kind of gloves are those?

  • that is a monster chunk of cane. short and sweet video.

  • N8,

I can't wait to try this. Great vid....thanks.

  • you can make some really intricate murrini if you use stringer instead of canes

  • Great Demo!! I had never seen that way of pulling cane before. Nice quality video!!
