Handling loudness monitoring and compliance on a global level is a real challenge, but the standard we have for what loudness is came out of the ITU, and so the measurement of what we're trying to regulate is more or less universally accepted. Butch Stearns of The Pulse Network sits down with Andrew Sachs, VP of Product Management at Volicon, to discuss how the only real difference between countries is how they enforce legislation, but the standards have become fairly homogeneous, so there are many countries that are pushing legislation through just like the FCC. Sachs discusses how in order to deal with global standards, you have to prepare your content to fit the narrowest of all, so that no matter where you try to deliver it, it's in conformance.

NAB Show(R) is the place to experience the great content shift of players, technologies, strategies and expectations in a marketplace that moves forward with or without you. Join the conversation, and turn shift in your favor: http://tpn.thepulsenetwork.com/nab-show/
