  • On the small stuff (12 x 24 and smaller) you can see my prices on my 2 videos that I set up specifically for selling signs. Just type ericrhoten in the youtube search box and you should see them. I filmed these videos at my retail shop in Oatman, AZ. I think my prices are actually lower than they should be, but I like keeping my prices low. Most sign carvers charge lots more. I like to keep my prices between $30 - $50 a sq. foot. Dad & I are going to do a video on this soon. Thank You

  • Hey Chris, OK on that panel I have run into that a little to. Dad & I talked about it & I'm gonna try putting a backer on the sign before I put on my finish. Since the board is fairly thin anyway I was thinking to use something like 1/2" or even 3/4" plywood. I'm thinking that would stiffin it enough to keep it from cupping. Don't know yet. We'll see.

  • Buddierob On that Cozy Pig sign I charged 55.00.

  • hey dave and eric i was wondering what the best way to price my signs would be should i do it by size, by foot, or by letters.

  • Thanks again, for the information i will try backer panels for some of my edge glued signs. after taking a look around the internet i have been selling my signs waaay to low, for the amount of work and material cost that goes into them. i just sold that 24"x24" raider plaque for $40 and a 10"x24" for $35, as far country music i love it, most people i run into say the same thing "i dont take you for a country man" haha but thats all i listen too these days.

  • @TheCamaro1967rs Hey Chris. Great video, I love that music, didn't take you for a country fan. Thank you for all the great compliments. You are very talented my friend & I'm proud that dad & I have contributed a little in the great work you do.

  • Hi Eric I was just wondering on what you charge for your COZY PIG 1"x 8" sign?

    Great Videos

Thanks for all your help and Info....

  • Hello eric, great to see that you have made a new video. i have worked with some of those ponderosa panels in the past but have found that they start to warp a bit after about a year or so, but thats outdoors in the sun. any tips on protection when using pine outdoors, i have tried using multiple coats of spar urethane.

  • Eric, thanks this will save me some time I will head to Lowes tomorrow..

    Lou
