@fhhuber506771 I have to be honest, it seems naive to think our current defense budget isn't "wealth redistribution".

Defense is about 40% of the budget if we could delete it and reduce the debt, there is nothing that will help.

There are people who are neither too lazy nor inept who work hard and can't make it.

The Ryan and Obama budgets are pratically the same, the claim cuts by slowing the rate of spending. They are competing to be the skinny kid at fat camp.

We could DELETE the entire defense budget and not even slow down the growth of the national debt... The morons in office would just send the "savings" to more welfare programs.

National Defense is part of the constitution... wealth redistribution is not.

If you are too lazy or inept to succeed its not the fault of the people who actually work for a living.

Ryan doesn't cut enough. That doesn't make the WORSE overspending of Obama right...

@TwiztedAnimator I don't always agree with Ron Paul, but it does seem to me that American imperialism is harmful to us at this point in history. I also agree that the tax code favors those that can afford lobbyist to get there pet cuts put in.

My point originally was that I didn't really hear or read any economists suggesting that letting AIG et.al. fail would be better for the average person. It sucks. But that is my best (non-partisan)understanding.

@quintessential37 Not everyone, but many people, because many people don't know the answers.... An Unconstitutional War is not illegal? According to the US Constitution, the Congress MUST Declare war. The President, according to the Constitution, does not have the authority to send troops into battle, send war planes to bomb another country, without Congressional Approval. We are now in 4 wars... Afghanstan, Iraq, Pakistan and now Libya... What makes you think this is alright?
