I think it's because American culture (i.e. movies/music) is far more prevalent and influential in the UK than British culture is in the US. English kids grow up hearing far more American speech than American kids hear British English, for example.

  • I'd say, that British actors/actresses, are better at pulling off an authentic sounding American accent, in general, than vice versa. Obviously, if you listen really carefully, you can sometimes hear the British intonation and pronunciation leaking through, but many of them do a fantastic job. By the way, I'm not British, in case you wonder. I'm Swedish :). Cudos to Jamie for appearing to be such a humble and adorable person, with a great sense of humour.

  • @Melville10 I think she looks fine with that much makeup. In pretty much every other interview she's in, she either doesn't wear makeup or just uses concealer. This time she's using eye liner, probably because she wanted something fancy and dramatic to go with her dressy outfit. It would be odd to wear a dressy outfit and combine it with makeup that wasn't intended for "after 5". /fashion 101

  • the tv show he did not like could be Ultimate force .

  • I actually like the British slang. I also like the fact that he does not hold back he tells it how it is. I love him in BSG. I also the versatility of going back and forth between his American and English accents.

  • @DasBurka omg i said the same thing

  • when he says yes he breaks his americian acent.

  • @antred11
