On July 20, 1969, 'Man' walked on the Moon for the first time in history. As we celebrate the 40th anniversary of that amazing event, Peter Diamandis, Chairman & CEO of the X PRIZE Foundation ponders on what it would take to liberate the genius of our planet to take us back to the Moon, faster and more economically.

Yeah, 8 and one half years- very amazing considering the problems- it's so amazing that it didn't even happen. The United States has big problems- why is the NSA/CIA allowed to create and control companies like Google? Isn't it wonderful to figure out why GOOGLE has been charged with this meme of getting a rover to the moon? Will it ever be launched? Could it ever be sent anywhere near the "landing sites"- cover-ups that last for generations- absolutely typical- we are doomed.

@flightrulez i mentioned Mexico as being distinct from South America you're just being an argumentative butthole

Hello, well obviously you are not geographicly educated because Mexico is part of North America, there is no argument there, sure America's Goverment is now a Liberal party, but they have not changed much, and Canada and Mexico's goverments are still conservative goverments.

@flightrulez
Wow if Canada and the US are so corrupt why don't you go live in Mexico or South America or Africa and get back to us on how great it is there?

Thank you for the Lunar xprize very much!!!
But let me say a few things.
You can not compare earth computer advancement with our current progress status of human exploration of the universe.
When it comes to space there enters another factor called "heartiness" or "survivability." It takes 10 or more generations of computing earth progress to equate to one level of microbe/life progress when it comes to "ability to cross a radiated vaccuum." Please keep in mind, "radiated vaccuum."
