Sin City is one of the best graphic novels out there,as well as the movie. I read all the books when I was 11. I was like, wow!! I hoped that Frank would make a movie out of this. And I was surprised he made the movie. Great movie of all-time.

He's lying when he says he did any work to this! It's just the original trailer with the Threshold filter on it.

That's true...perhaps I imagined it being the opening scene. Thanks for the reply.

It's in the original theatrical trailer, but not in the movie.

JLovrak - Not only is that a good idea; I have a false memory of seeing exactly that. I haven't seen the movie, but I swear there is a video of the opening scene that cut to comic book images at cinematographically appropriate moments. Maybe it was a fan video, but right now I'm confused because the film is not like what I remember seeing.

Don't get me wrong, I like the look of it and maybe a trailer or two in this style would have been a good idea, but the movie's reception would have suffered if they did the whole film like this. If they had periodically freeze-framed to a shot like this and then back to the regular film, "I.E. Cut to a comic-booky stillshot of Miho just as she leaps off the building and then back to the regular style as she lands on the car and stabs those guys, then it might have been a good idea.

Okay, it's very cool looking and you did excellent work. That being said, I think that this style just wouldn't work as a moving medium. If I pause the video the still-shots look fantastic, but when you're watching it play, it's very difficult to see what's going on when it's just black and white and heavy contrast. It's not visually appealing when in motion. They made that mistake with that movie "Renaissance" too.

Those black and white is a great idea for trailer, but when it comes to motion picture different tones of grey make movie easier to enjoy.
