This is an example of a dolly zoom shot in 3ds max. Easy to create because the software has the capability to animate the field of view along with the camera movement. www.photoreal.tk

  • yeap thats it, you dolly the camera forward or backward and at the same time you change the FOV or focal length.

  • wide angel lenses is better for this?

  • Can you explain quickly? I am pretty decent in max, for a student. You can animate the camera.. how do you do the zoom? Do you just dolly out and bring the focal point in? 35 mm works the best<---guess it depends on what you want it for? I guess I have to experiment.
